Refurbished Retro bicycle – Coventry Eagle – Fixie/track style bike – 23inch frame

A classically beautiful, original Coventry Eagle “Ambler” refurbished as a retro track style bicycle for the cycling enthusiast who wants something special.

Narrow diameter vintage steel tubing and brazed lugs, with a classic 1″ threaded headset and quill stem, this frame is a work of retro art. Classic style, brazed/lugged construction with a 68mm BSA threaded bottom bracket.

Hand-refurbished into a classically styled track machine using the Sturmey Archer S2 hub, the ”Ambler” gives a smooth, comfortable and fun ride, with added bonus of two gears.

Wheels are the legendary Halo Aerotrack and come supplied with a 22T cog on the S2 hub, whilst tyres are 25mm Schwalbe Lugano with classic tan walls.

Finishing components are from Dia-Compe, using their alloy track bars, quill stem. While the saddle is the Brooks’ Cambium all-weather C17 with matching bar tape, while the front brake is Dia-Compe’s BRS101 calipers.

All in all, the ”Ambler” is a great choice for the single-speed aficionado who wants the flexibility of the S2 hub in a genuine classic frame.
